So now you know the strengths of each hand and you know what to do or say when you play online poker. Very nice. Now it’s time to gather all that information and find out when to play and the different stops and levels for poker cards.
Pre-Flop
When everyone is dealt their two cards, this is known as the Pre-Flop. This is the first round of betting of any poker game. The player to the left of Big Blind is given the first chance to make a decision. In this first half, a player can call, raise or fold.
Flop
After settling the bet in the first half, three cards are dealt on the center of the table. The cards are placed face up. The three cards are the first three of what are called “Community Cards” as all players are allowed to see them. Players can use the cards with their hole cards to make their whole hand.
All cash raised from the Pre-Flop round remains in the pot until betting starts again. The remaining players at the dealer will be the first to make a decision. Players folded in the previous round will be skipped because they did not play in the new round. Players can check or bet, folding is an option if the player has added money to the pot in the previous round. Once a player has decided to bet, the checking option becomes obsolete. Other players have to raise or call if you want to play in the next round.
Turn
A fourth community card will be dealt if there are active players. This card is known as “The Turn”, which is also a community card. The order of play is similar to the Flop, where the player to the left of the dealer starts the bet.
River
The final round of the game of poker is called the “River.” This is the fifth and final community card dealt. Betting occurs in the same way as making “The Flop” and “The Turn.” Ideally, players should have 7 cards at this point (5 community cards and 2 hole cards). Players should use these cards to make their best 5-card hand. It is not mandatory for a player to use their hole cards, instead, they can use 0, 1 or 2 cards to make their birthday cards.
Controversy
Before “The River” was distributed, games often had pot winners. This usually happens when everyone folds except for one player. But if the game still has two (or more) players then the game finally comes to “The Showdown.” In this case, all cards are revealed and the player with the best hand will take all the money in the bet. If there is a tie, the money is divided equally and this is known as a “chopped” or “split” pot.
The information above will guide you through your first Texas Hold’em No-Limit dealer KingPoker99 game and other poker game variations. Remember to look for a good strategy if you want to increase your chances of winning.
